Update Hövding’s software

iPhone / Android

New releases of Hövding App come with the latest available software for Hövding 3. When you open the app, it will automatically check if new software is available for your Hövding.

Your Hövding’s ADS (Accident Detection System) is equally safe regardless of software version.


1. Get the latest version of Hövding App

Make sure you have the latest version of Hövding App. The app is available in App Store on iPhone and in Google Play Store on Android. If you are not already using Hövding App, you will need to create a user account and connect your Hövding to the app for instructions, please see Get started with Hövding App (iPhone/Android).


2. Make sure your Hövding is charged

Briefly press the function button to make sure that your Hövding has at least 50% battery – the Back LED should shine steady green. If not, charge your Hövding using the supplied USB cable (USB-C 2.0) and a USB adapter (5V, 1-2A is recommended).


3. Check for available updates

Keep your Hövding close to the phone, open Hövding App and go to the home screen. The app will check your Hövding’s current software to determine if an update is available – this may take a moment. If new software is available, tap Update software and read the instructions on the screen. Toggle the switch on to confirm that you are ready and tap Start update.
