Trips are not being registered (iPhone)

In order for your trips to register, Hövding App has to be open (or running in the background) on your phone. The app also needs permission to access your location and to share your trip data. Please follow the instructions below. (Depending on model and iOS version, the phone’s settings may differ slightly from this guide.)


1. Check Hövding’s connection

Open Hövding App. Make sure that your Hövding is connected and that its status is displayed on the apps main screen.

2. Check Hövding Apps settings and permissions

(2.1) Tap More in the menu bar. Tap App settings, then tap Data sharing. Make sure that Location is ON, then tap Save.

Tap Go to settings and make sure that Bluetooth, Background App Refresh and Mobile Data is ON.

Tap Location, then tap Always – this is required for the app to register trips while running in the background. Make sure that Precise Location is ON if the option is presented.

3. Make sure that Hövding App is running

Hövding App has to be open (or running in the background) on the phone during your trips. If you force close Hövding App you must open it again, for your trips to be registered.

NOTE: Bring your phone along when cycling with Hövding. Afterwards, check that the trip has been registered in the app.
