Settings and permissions (Android)

For all of Hövding App’s functions to work, the notification ‘channel_hovding’ has to be running on your phone. The app also needs permission to access your location and to share your trip data. Follow the instructions below. (Depending on model and Android version, the phone’s settings may differ slightly from this guide.)

1. Check Hövding’s connection

Open Hövding App. Make sure that your Hövding is connected and that its status is displayed on the app’s main screen.

4. Make sure that ‘channel_hovding’ is running

Hövding App’s notification ‘channel_hovding’ has to run on the phone during your trips (a Hövding icon is shown in the status bar). If you disable the notification you must enable it again, for your trips to be registered and your ICE contacts to be notified – in the case of an accident.
