Hövding does not connect to the Hövding App (Android)

NOTE: If your Hövding is connected to Hövding App but its status doesn’t update correctly on the app’s main screen, see Hövding’s status does not update correctly first. (Depending on model and Android version, the phone’s settings may differ slightly from this guide.)


1. Reset the phones Bluetooth

(1.1) Open the Settings app. Tap Connected devices, then tap Connection preferences.

Tap Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth OFF and then back ON.

2. Remove previously connected Hövdings

Tap the arrow in the top left twice to go back to Connected devices. Look for device names starting with ‘HOVD_’ or ‘PAIR_’. If you find any, tap on the device names, then tap FORGET.

3. Connect Hövding

Open Hövding App and tap Get Started on the main screen. Follow the instructions on the screen.

NOTE: If Hövding still doesn’t connect to Hövding App, please try the following.

  • Restart the phone.
  • Reinstall Hövding App.
  • If possible, try connecting Hövding to Hövding App on another phone.
