After the accident, I realized that things can sometimes go fast and that you never know when an accident will happen.

I was cycling at full speed down a hill on the bike path and met a girl on a bike. Suddenly it came to a halt, and I flew over the handlebars, landed on the bike path, and rolled around several laps. The whole thing was a very strange accident. At first, I didn’t understand anything of what had happened, but then I saw that a girl had also fallen over on her bike. Turns out she had a really long scarf that somehow got caught in me or my bike. I don’t know how, but at least it stopped crosswise and I flew through the air.

What thoughts went through your head during and after the accident?
I was a bit shocked afterwards, mostly because it happened so quickly and I didn’t understand what had happened. However, both I and the girl got away with ease. I mostly got scrapes on my body and she got sores on her neck because of the scarf. After the accident, I realized that things can sometimes go fast and that you never know when an accident will happen. I am absolutely convinced that I had badly hurt my head and that it could have gone far worse if I hadn’t had my Hövding. This is because I hit the ground hard and rolled several laps on the asphalt.

Has the accident meant any change in your cycling behavior?
I can’t claim that the accident has affected my cycling behavior, but on the other hand I got myself a new Hövding the day after the accident.

Will you continue cycling with Hövding in the future?
I will not cycle without my Hövding in the future.
